MM&I Header

November 28, 2011 - How are you gaining support for what you are trying to accomplish? How have you made your life and work easier through support systems and a support network? Have you allowed your values to guide you in identifying those who would share in the burden or challenges because they share your beliefs and convictions?  You are never in it alone. There is always someone who will understand, empathize or be able to assist. You just need to be open to letting them in and letting them know.

Take an MM&I Moment to list anyone who could potentially help you in what you are trying to do, even in the smallest of ways. List your values and then list separately those people who share these same values. If there is a situation that is causing conflict or frustration, look to those people who share your values to help you think of options or offer solutions. If you are trying to achieve a particular feat, list how you can assist someone in their efforts towards their goals who can also help you in your endeavor. Then reach out to these people and let them know that you are also there for them as well.

Synergized Quote of the Week

"Often the only hurdle between you and what you want to be is the support of other people." - David Joseph Schwartz

Savvy Secret Tip of the Week

In your efforts to serve your customers, do you operate under the premise that the customer is always right or the customer is number one? Think about this for a minute. If the customer is always right, the why do they need you? Part of building preference over your competitors is differentiating your company in a way that makes customers believe they can only get what they are specifically seeking in terms of your offerings from you. This means you must have answers and solutions that the customer is not able to get for themselves or through anyone else. Making a customer feel special and important is absolutely a way to be. Couple this with the customer feeling special and also taken care of with an offering they believe they can get nowhere else, and you will also have loyalty and trust.  Learn more about how to serve your customers in Secret #21, The WOW Factor, in in 50 Marketing Secrets of Growth Companies in Down Economic Times.
