March 7, 2011 - Do you feel like you are confidently moving forward? Or are you frustrated by a continuous feeling of one step forward and then two steps back? If you feel as though each step of progress is met with twice the number of challenges, then you are allowing these challenges to consume your focus instead allowing the triumph of progress to propel you forward.
Take an MM&I Moment to list all the steps forward you have realized. Don't allow yourself during this time to pause and reflect on any of the challenges. Now take a look at the list of progress. Can you see a pattern of achievement that you can continue to replicate? Can you see a common thread that you can build a foundation for more progress? Allow your ability to focus on what you did right be the catalyst for overcoming what went wrong.

Savvy Secret Tip of the Week
A sales force without marketing behind it is a not a force. It is a farce. Sales cannot effectively happen and be sustainable without a solid marketing strategy and implementation effort. If you are a business owner expecting your sales force to bring in sales without any marketing for them to leverage and build upon, you are setting your company up for failure. Sales is not marketing. Sales is a strategic component of good marketing. High growth companies understand that their sales forces are only as effective as the strategy put in place to attract and engage the marketplace.
MODERATOR FOR FAST-GROWTH PANEL IN BOCA ROTAN MARCH 11: I am heading to the Boca Rotan Resort for the Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Event & Conference March 9 -11. I will be moderating a panel of fast-growth businesses as we share the secrets and challenges to growing a business in these times. A special thanks to sponsor MarketSource, which will be presenting a case study presentation of Mega-Growth Strategies immediately following my panel discussion featuring mega-growth expert, John Canington. CONGRATULATIONS to Fabi Preslar of SPARK Publications for being named among the 2011 50 Enterprising Women of the Year. Fabi was featured in both of my books so it is no surprise. I look forward to recognizing her at the gala event while in Boca Rotan! Way to go Fabi!
