STUDENTS EARN TOP HONORS AT STATE HEALTH OCCUPATIONS COMPETITION

In the announcement dated April 25, 2012, we incorrectly reported that Shawnee Chaudhury was elected as HOSA State Secretary.  However, the newly elected HOSA State Secretary is Sunakshi Puri of East Windsor.

Mercer County Technical School students participated in the 2012 New Jersey HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) State Competition.  Six of the competitors earned the chance to compete at the HOSA National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida on June 20-23, 2012.

HOSA is a national student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education Division of ACTE. HOSA's two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA's goal is to encourage all health occupations instructors and students to join and be actively involved in the HSE-HOSA Partnership.
