Welcome to Saint Clement!

New Parishioner DinnerSaint Clement welcomed about 110 new parishioners to the annual New Parishioner dinner last Friday in Fireside Hall. After receiving their beads upon check-in, the parishioners enjoyed the Mardi Gras-themed event which featured cocktails and conversation as well as a buffet catered by Heaven on Seven and included jambalaya, red beans and rice and rigatoni veggie creole.

New Parishioner DinnerDuring dinner Fr. Ken spoke about our parish's call to Pray, Serve, Give, and indicated some of the ways new parishioners can do so through the parish. Staff members and ministry leaders also attended the event so new parishioners could familiarize themselves and know with whom to speak should they want to get involved in a particular ministry.

The next new parishioner reception will be held Wednesday, March 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fahey Center. Contact Maggie Hanley for more information.

Saint Clement Students Earn Ad Altare Dei

Saint Clement 8th grade students Zach Kensik and Gerard Rux received the Boy Scout Catholic Emblem, Ad Altare Dei, at a ceremony on January 29 at Holy Name Cathedral. The celebrant was Rev. Msgr. John Canary.

The purpose of the Ad Altare Dei (To The Altar of God) program is to help Catholic boy scouts of the Roman Rite develop a fully Christian way of life in the faith community. The program is organized in chapters based on the seven sacraments. The seven sacraments are a primary means toward spiritual growth. Seminarians Mark Augustine and Kevin McCray were instrumental in helping the scouts complete their requirements.

Saint Clement Prayer Day: The Catholic Imagination
Sunday, March 4, 11:15 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Join us for the 5th annual parish-wide Prayer Day as we explore the richness of our Catholic imagination.

As Catholics, we have a rich tradition of utilizing sacred art, literature, and music to inspire and enrich our life of faith. There are many prayer practices that help to engage our imagination and help us to see and experience the divine in new ways. We will take time to reflect upon the creative ways we use imagination to enter into prayer, center our lives on Christ, and experience the beauty of God and creation. Please join us on Sunday, March 4 for Prayer Day :

11:15 a.m. Mass, followed by lunch

1:00 p.m. Keynote, Laurie Brink, O.P., Ph.D.: "Of God and Cheerios--Finding the Holy Moments Among the Ordinary."

Please note, babysitting will be available during the Keynote.

2:00-4:00 p.m. Afternoon Workshops: Each of the workshops will repeat twice.

    • "Preparing for Worship - Entering Sacred Space." Presenter: Kate Lynch
