If you're looking for a special gift, look no further. The Crystal House takes pride in operating as a dealer of many of the major crystal brands such as Waterford, Orrefors, Kosta Boda, Nambe, Wedgwood and Royal Doulton among others. This means that any products offered by these brands are available for purchase at Crystal House. And if an item is not in stock at their shop, they can order directly from these manufacturers. What separates Crystal House from department stores that sell the same major crystal brands is that Crystal House can personalize them with custom engraving. Macy's department store contracts with Crystal House to handle their crystal engraving, which is a great testimonial for Elias' expert skills.

Chazerly Designs, Inc., formerly of Downers Grove and and now located in nearby Darien, learned they had a global appeal when one of their crystal sculptures of the Chicago skyline was chosen by the Chicago Fire soccer team as a gift for visiting Premier League football club Manchester United. A representative for the Fire saw a photo of the skyline sculpture online, and when she visited Chazerly Designs to view the piece in person, she had to purchase it! This high profile transaction was the motivation owners Mr. Akwo and his wife Chaz Nieoponski needed to take their designs to a higher level - the global internet marketplace. They realized that with a bigger and better relaunch of their website, anyone in the world could purchase any of their one-of-a-kind pieces of art at www.chazerlydesigns.com. And that's just what they did.
Now, Crystal House operates an extensive online store where customers are encouraged to explore a wide selection of as many as 20,000 items for sale. "We're very proud of what we've accomplished with this site," Akwo said. "We tried very hard to make it user friendly, and the feedback has been very positive. We were getting a lot of calls from customers who visited our old website and saw items they liked," said Akwo. "So we knew it was time to create a convenient online store that customers could make safe purchases from." Their enhanced website helps to promote this segment of their business as well. "We don't have the space to display a huge inventory from Waterford and the others," Akwo said. "So now, people can order any of the items from these major distributors from us online."

An advantage to ordering from Chazerly Designs is they specialize in very unique engraving. "Engraving is really popular right now," Akwo said. "A lot of people try to buy gifts that are functional. But when we take an unspecialized item and engrave it, it becomes more of an heirloom." Recently, a customer came in wishing to engrave an entire Biblical saying on an Orrefors bowl, which Akwo did, engraving the entire text along
the rim of the bowl. "It was stunning." Akwo said. "This type of service makes our shop unique."

Chazerly Designs', Inc has another division called Beyond a Pretty Picture. Beyond a Pretty Picture transforms a picture or photo into a family heirloom. Images are infused into the surface of glass, ceramic or marble to produce memorable gifts. These pictures become an integral part of the finished product. Through the process, Akwo explained, the photograph "actually becomes a part of the surface. It's not painted or pasted on." They will not wear off or wash out. He also said few artisans tackle photo infusion on glass or ceramic surfaces because of the time and cost involved. These gifts are truly spectacular, distinctively original and surprisingly affordable and usually have a 10+ day turnaround time.

The Crystal House is also one of very few shops in the U.S. that offer crystal restoration to repair any of your crystal treasures. Mr. Akwo will sit down with you and let you know what he thinks needs to be done to repair your item, and he personally handles the work there in his shop.
