Dear Neighbor,
A good neighborhood is a clean neighborhood. On Saturday April 21st, people from all walks of life throughout Chicago will be removing trash from neglected streets & alleys, removing graffiti, planting gardens, trees and painting murals. Clean & Green has been a Chicago tradition for more than two decades. Each year, concerned residents like you volunteer to clean-up the community and recycle accumulated litter & trash. Few things build stronger neighborhood relations more than the time and effort spent in beautifying the place we call home.
If you get actively involved in making your surroundings look and feel better, others will follow. Involve the kids on your block. Young people who have a quality Clean & Green experience are more likely to see the value of giving back to their communities. Clean & Green can be your opportunity to build neighborhood pride, promote social responsibility and plan a Summer Block Party!
To register all you have to do is call 3-1-1. Sign-up and join us at a nearby location that really needs a good cleaning. The City will work with you and your community group on that day by loaning the brooms, rakes, shovels and bags needed to get the job done. Register today!
We can make a big difference together.
Respectfully,
Rey Colón
