Dear Friend,
Natural Surrender: The Gateway to Awakening
Surrender is not sacrifice, "giving up", acquiescence, or hopelessness. Though surrender is not any of these, a sense of hopelessness, or a recognition that you are unable to liberate or awaken yourself, can serve as a point of immersion into the oceans of Divine Love. Surrender is the gateway to Divine Grace.
Lack of surrender keeps the ego mind in an endless loop of "becoming" or desiring to "achieve" enlightenment. Yet, God Realization and enlightenment are not achieved, or earned or deserved. They are received as a gift of illumination and Divine Grace. It is a Return to what you already Are and have always been effortlessly Being, since the Genesis Light Now Moment of Creation.
You Awaken by Grace. So in a sense, there is nothing you can do to awaken yourself, or to liberate yourself from the ego mind. However, this does not mean non-action.
You Can:
*Immerse yourself in contexts that support awakening
*Have a passion to remember yourSelf as Consciousness, as Love
Essence, as Bliss Radiance - as Your Essential Self
*Surrender yourself fully to the Divine Presence (that is all you
really are and have anyway).
*Praise and Embrace Your Union with the Divine, with your
Beloved Creator
*Identify as Awareness and welcome all sensations, emotions into
the enfoldment of that Awareness
A couple of weeks ago I attended an event at the home of my dear friend and stellar example of a Being, Michael. Upon walking into the room it was pure joy and a silently alive peace to feel the oneness and love shimmering from heart to heart. Yet there was something distinctly exquisite about this group on this particular day. As I contemplated this for a moment I had a distinct impression of the difference: the group had ascended in consciousness to a point of love where no one wanted anything from anyone else. Everyone was just spaciously standing there, looking at each other with immense love and respect and joy. We just related, in a relaxed communion, complete in the Divine Love, radiating love and wanting and needing nothing from anyone. This means not just being free of wanting anything of a material level, but free of a perception of needing love or approval or recognition. It exemplified freedom from all of the subtle needs, wants or expectations that can affect relationship interactions. I had a sense in that moment "this is the new humanity!". The beautiful Beings in that room had surrendered themselves to love, to the dissolving of a sense of a separate self, to the Divine Presence, to Grace, to simply awakening as the sublime Living Love that needs nothing and Is All.
This is the Now Hour, the Miraculous Moment, the Alive Leaping Second to Surrender into Love, to Surrender into Joy, to Surrender into your Divinity and your Infinity. This surrender means an identification with that which is true alone - you are Love only, Bliss only, Consciousness only, Beingness only. All other thoughts, feelings, sensations are simply embraced in the cocoon, the crucible, the Radiance of Truth.
