In Ontario, the Niagara Escarpment is a 725 km rocky ridge that winds its way from Niagara Falls, around the western tip of Lake Ontario, northwest to Tobermory. It offers breathtaking views and wide vistas with a multitude of waterfalls.

Conservation Halton describes Kelso Conservation Area as "a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts". The Area, located near Milton, boasts a sandy beach, beautiful lake, amazing mountain biking trails, and downhill skiing facilities in the winter (Glen Eden). Of course...it also offers fabulous views from the Niagara Escarpment.

Want to see nature at work? Wetlands provide the best opportunity. when visiting a wetland expect to see birds, wildlife, reptiles, amphibians, and a fascinating and seemingly endless variety of bug life.
Observe the Ospreys at Ken Reid Conservation Area
If you want to spend the day hiking through one of the coolest wetlands in Ontario, visit Ken Reid Conservation Area near Lindsay.
Ken Reid features loop trails that lead through forests, meadows, and wetlands. A great route to explore is the Marsh Boardwalk trail which includes a floating boardwalk that winds through the provincially significant MacLaren Creek Wetland. During the summer months you can spot red bellied snaks, snapping turtles and leopard frogs.
Visitors who decide to enjoy the marsh lookout may even spot the Osprey on the nearby nesting platform!

Experience the Exhilaration of Inglis Falls
The Inglis Falls Conservation Area near Owen Sound is home to one of the most magestic waterfalls in Ontario, Inglis Falls. Inglis Falls is an 18 metre high cascade, created by the Sydenham River meeting the edge of the Niagara Escarpment. The erosive power of the water has carved a deep gorge at the base of the falls.
