2. Counselor's News
Financial Aid Information Night
Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 6:30 pm in the Half Cafe.
We are happy to welcome Certified Financial Planners Roy Walters and Larry Mahoney to PJXXIII who have been assisting Houston area private high school guidance counselors, parents and students for over 15 years. Together they have over 50 years combined experience in the financial services field. Through experiencing their financial aid seminars, parents are able to negotiate through the challenges of funding a college education with understanding and confidence.
The session will be a one-hour presentation during which parents and students will receive information that helps them understand the federal financial aid process and utilize strategies that fit to individual circumstances to create efficiency and savings in planning for students' college education. The seminar will be helpful whether a family has large financial resources or small; are looking at applying to public or private colleges/universities; or are going through the college admissions experience for the first time or with their second or third child.
This is a reminder that on Wednesday, October 17th, all tenth and eleventh graders will be taking the PSAT test at the school. Ninth and twelfth graders will stay home. Students testing will be on early dismissal that day. Questions about the PSAT can be directed to Counselor Cynthia Cox.
