Martin County Named Academically High Performing School District for 5th Consecutive Year!
Nancy Kline

Dear Parents, Families, and Community Members:

I would like to congratulate our schools and district staff on the recent announcement by the Florida Department of Education naming Martin County as an Academically High Performing District, one of just 13 in the state to receive the honor.  In addition, Martin County is one of only five school districts that has earned the distinction for five consecutive years.  This is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to our commitment to excellence at all levels. The criteria for being named Academically High Performing include complying with class size, earning top school and district grades, and receiving sound financial audits.  Thank you to our teachers and staff, as well as Assistant Superintendent Dr. Frank Raffone, and the District's Finance Department for their outstanding efforts.

March of Dimes Walk for Babies - District is Top Fundraising Team

 March of Dimes Team 2011

The MCSD Made an impressive showing at the March of Dimes Walk for Babies on April 30th. The District overall was the top fundraising team in the county, raising more than $41,478.39.

Individually, five schools ranked among the top ten fundraising teams! With the support of school administration, the team captains did an incredible job of rallying support for this very worthwhile community cause. On Walk Day, there was a strong contingent of walkers to represent the MCSD team, and the South Fork JROTC once again was instrumental in their volunteer efforts to assist with the event.
