 1920's Cleveland was home for Bob Campbell, the only child of a factory engineer. He rode the streetcar to school and was president of his class at Collinwood High. In '39, Bob enrolled at the University of Cincinnati, studying mechanical engineering and playing trombone in the marching band. He heard the drumbeat of approaching war and was inspired by a dazzling airplane on the cover of Flying magazine.
