The Crescent City Green Council hosted a well attended meeting last month at which Pierre Moses of HBA member company Make It Right gave a detailed presentation on the use of solar power in residential construction. We had excellent participation and great prizes were given - a night at the W Hotel, Zephyrs Baseball Tickets, and Appliances, too!

We are gearing up for a great month in July for Multifamily Education with a class on July 7th for all leasing agents that will get you up to speed Social Media and marketing strategies. Later in the month on July 25, we will have a legal class on Landlord/Tenant Relations. If you would like to register for either of these classes please visit us online on the Education Page. More to come in August with the CLP Designation, and Fair Housing Class. The Fair Housing classes are designed for Management, Leasing, and Maintenance, too!

Our local and LHBA staff worked hard to prevent legislation that could have potentially harmful effects on our industry and to promote beneficial legislation, and had great success.  We will now be focusing on the upcoming state and local elections - stay tuned for details as we approach the busy fall season!
