As mortgage rates start to creep up, I'm receiving phone calls from people looking into renegotiating and most are asking about five year fixed mortgages. Depending on your circumstances, it's not always the best option! Take a look at the Thinking Outside the Bun article below, you may be surprised at what's available.
Early next month, I'm taking part in a fundraiser for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto. Our goal is to raise $300,000 for this great organization while having fun doing it. Thinking Outside the Bun
That is Taco Bell's slogan. It's meant to remind us that fast food doesn't end with hamburgers. Tacos are pretty tasty in their own right. In the lending world, the closest equivalent to "the bun" is the 5-year fixed mortgage. Like hamburgers are to fast food, the 5-year fixed is to mortgages. It's been the most popular term in Canada for years. Yet, despite its prevalence, qualified borrowers owe it to themselves to think outside the 5-year fixed. Real Estate Investor Workshop:
Thursday, March 24
Have you ever considered real estate as part of your investment portfolio, but didn't know where to find more information?
Please join me at my next Investor's Workshop on Thursday, March 24th.
There's no cost or obligation involved. We will be speaking about how to develop an investor's mindset, how to act when opportunity knocks and how you can save thousands of dollars when purchasing an income property.
This workshop will be held from 7-9pm on Thursday, March 24th at 1678 Bloor Street West on the third floor (elevator); just East of Keele Street, on the North side of Bloor Street-between Tim Horton's and Midas Muffler.
Parking is available on Bloor Street or in the Green P behind Midas Muffler. If you are taking transit, it is just a short walk from the Keele Street or Dundas West subway stations. Please see attachment for more details.
