Mark Your Calendar: Spokane River Clean up scheduled for Saturday, September 29th.

 

The 10th annual Spokane River Clean-Up is set for Saturday, September 29th. Join 800 to 1000 Spokane River lovers to help cart out the trash that accumulates annually. Go to www.friendsofthefalls.org to register. Read more.

 


Ecology begins Spokane River Beach Clean-up

The Washington Department of Ecology will clean-up four Spokane River beaches in Spokane Valley during September and October. Clean-up will address the accumulation of lead, arsenic, zinc and cadmium that washed downstream from historic mining practices in the Coeur d'Alene basin. Beach locations include Barker Road north, Islands Lagoon, Myrtle Point and Flora Road.  Read more.
