What are the advantages of ketones in the hCG SlimXpress diet?
Through
time, human biology has developed sophisticated innate mechanisms to
adapt to
changes in inevitable nutrient variations. The ability to enter into
ketosis represents one such mechanism. There are essentially two
nutrient
variations, or diets, which can cause a person to enter into a state of
ketosis.
The first is through
extreme caloric restriction. Limiting total caloric intake to less than
that required to maintain basic metabolic functions will force a body

A second type of diet that
will induce a state of ketosis is through carbohydrate restriction. Carbohydrates are a source of fuel for the body to run on for energy. Minimizing carbohydrate intake will cause a series of metabolic changes
to take
place which causes the liver to begin producing an alternative source of
fuel:
ketones. The liver produces ketones from the fat released from fat
cells.

carbohydrate diet recommendations.
In addition to being used
as a fuel source to run the body's basic functions, ketones are known to
have a number of other effects in the body. When the brain uses ketone
bodies over sugar for energy, it will be more alert and experience a
state of euphoria. This of course means that patients will be in great moods while they are
in
ketosis. Also, ketone bodies in the brain help with satiety and thus
decrease appetite. We can measure for ketone production in the urine to
assure us that we are burning fat. However, more of a good thing is not
necessarily better. If you begin producing ketones in high amounts some
negative effects can begin to occur. The breath can start to change in
smell and taste and the body can become depleted of water and
electrolytes. If levels become too high, the brain can start to suffer with mental

success.
