Business of the Week Aptiva Flooring owners

Aptiva Interiors, owned by Daniel Rivas and John Noriega, opened for business in Luling in February 2008. They have six employees, including Dan's sister Rosemary. Dan and John actually grew up together as neighbors in the Kingsbury area, but Dan and Rosemary attended Luling schools and John went to school in Seguin. John and his wife still live in Kingsbury. After graduating from school, Dan spent several years in California, and John went to New York. Danny worked in the flooring business while in California, and in 1997, after he and John had come back to Texas, they decided to work together. They did installations for a number of years before opening up their own retail store in New Braunfels. John explains, " We are completing our second year here in Luling. I must admit when we discussed moving the store to Luling, I had my doubts. We were in New Braunfels for three years at this time and felt we were finally becoming established. It has been the best decision we could have made, Thanks to you all. Though Dan and I are not actually related related, we are like family. I have know him longer than my siblings have been alive, some twenty-five years. We at Aptiva Interiors want to be your family-owned and operated floor care store. And for those we have not had the privilege to work for, we look forward to that time and many years yet to come." Aptiva Interiors is located at 527 E.
