Explore Your Business Opportunities in China - October 17-18

Our Gateway to China program takes place in Shanghai, October 17-18 and we're encouraging all ANZA members currently doing business in China, making plans to do business in China within the next year and those of you who are just curious to know more about this burgeoning market to join us in Shanghai this month.

We've put together a formidable agenda. We've lined up many local experts to talk about partnering, funding, IP protection, startup culture and localization issues. And, Clinton Dines, Executive Chairman Asia, Caledonia Investments will give a talk followed by a private dinner with attendees.

The cost is $1,995 (USD) and includes the two-day conference, three nights hotel and airport transfer. There is also an option to add-on a trip to the Nanjing International Technology Transfer Conference, October 20-21.

The conference is less than two weeks away, so please contact me at viki@anzatechnet.com with any questions. We have a few spaces left and would love to include you in this great opportunity to explore China business opportunities.

GATEWAY TO THE US/SILICON VALLEY CONNECT 2011 WRAP UP

This year's Gateway to the US was part of the two-day Silicon Valley Connect 2011 conference, held Sept. 29-30 at the Computer History Museum and Silicon Valley Bank. More than 300 people attended.

We know many of you in Silicon Valley were able to join us. And we know many ANZA Network members in the Valley and beyond have attended our Gateway events before. So, we thought we'd let you hear from some of the Australian companies that pitched for investment. Here's what they had to say:

"A great way to get started and get introduced to mentors, prospective investors and industry leaders."  Michael Lam, CEO and Co-Founder, Hubblr

"We were immersed in a world where everyone understands what you are talking about...you learn what you need from those who have done it before, so that you can compete on an international level." Kym Huynh, CEO and Founder, WeTeachMe

"One of the most informative few days of my entire career. Unbelievable! A complete eye opener and so inspirational." - Justin Parfitt, CEO, HeyLets

Thanks again to our mentors and ANZA TechNet members who attended the event and lent their support to the 10 Gateway companies throughout their stay in Silicon Valley. Also thanks to our sponsors including Invest Victoria, the state government of Victoria, Innovate SA and the government of South Australia.
