Saint-Gobain Abrasives
Saint-Gobain plans to expand its facility in Travelers Rest, SC. O'Neal will provide design-build services for two building additions for new production equipment.
Saint-Gobain Abrasives plans to invest $1.4 million in the expansion of its facility in Travelers Rest, the S.C. Department of Commerce and the Greenville Area Development Corp. announced on June 9.
School District of Oconee County
In 2009, O'Neal was awarded an indefinite delivery contract for the School District of Oconee County in South Carolina. The contract began in 2010 and in a few short months, O'Neal has completed numerous projects for the school system including a traffic flow modification, numerous HVAC projects, and a structural analysis.
In addition to the IDC, O'Neal was awarded the contract for the West-Oak High School renovation and expansion. O'Neal is providing architectural and engineering services for new science labs, classrooms, administration area, and parking lot. In addition O'Neal will also be renovating the auditorium and agricultural education area.

 O'Neal's April Allen Named SCEDA President
On May 7, the South Carolina Economic Developers Association (SCEDA) inaugurated its newest President, April Allen of O'Neal. The ceremony took place during the organization's annual meeting. Allen was preceded as President by Buddy Bateman, AT&T's Director of Business Development in Columbia, S.C. Allen has been with O'Neal since 2008 and responsible business development, focusing on economic development primarily in South Carolina.

Celebrating 35 Years!
 This year O'Neal is celebrating its 35th anniversary. O'Neal was founded in 1975 by Paul O'Neal as a structural consulting firm. Since that time, O'Neal has grown to include all engineering disciplines as well as architectural design and construction. In addition to our original headquarters in Greenville, SC, O'Neal has offices in Atlanta, GA and Raleigh, NC.
The growth of the company has been client focused and adapted to meet our clients needs. The result is a single-source, fully integrated planning, design and construction company that offers a total project delivery method.

Spotlight on the Southern Economic Development Council
At O'Neal, we are committed to supporting the communities and industries in which we serve. In each issue of O'Neal DELIVERS, we will feature one community or business group O'Neal is involved in supporting. This month, we are featuring the Southern Economic Development Council.
O'Neal is a Proud Partner with the SEDC
Tracing roots to the fall of 1946, the Southern Economic Development Council is the oldest and largest regional economic development association in North America. Members include 17 states in the American South, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
SEDC is a non-profit, 501 (c)(6), membership organization governed by a Board of Directors and Executive Committee. One director is elected by each member state to serve with elected officers on the Board of Directors. The administrative office is located in Atlanta and managed by a professional staff.

Hands on Greenville Day On Saturday, May 1, O'Neal team members lent a hand to the community in the 16th Annual Hands on Greenville Day. This year's "HOG" Day was the largest to date - 5,427 community volunteers teamed up to complete service projects throughout the Greenville community.
O'Neal's project benefited the Greenville County Disabilities and Special Needs Board (GCDSNB). GCDSNB is the only agency in Greenville County that supports over 2,000 special needs citizens through person-centered programming. This year's HOG Day project involved replacing a deck and ramp for GCDSNB's Greer Community Training Facility. Led by Bob Jacob, the team provided the labor and tools necessary to complete the project.
