We've again arrived at another special time of the year for family, for friends & well...for a breather!

Lots of new things to learn in this newsletter including a brand new service; the
'Sweat Rewards Club' to remind you all that reward is essential. Most of us continue to strive without acknowledgement both personally & among our peers. But this approach is short sighted & commonly leads to burnout.  So... Thinking Fitness staff are now going to take time out for each & every one of you to say well done & ask, "where to next?". This will be in the form of free personal consults as you progressively reach each milestone. This latest service has been brought about by a recent club software upgrade request, we should be able to count most member historical visits to get a total tally.

We also want to say thankyou to everyone by running a special membership promotional giveaway to mark Thinking Fitness' first birthday in Tumby Bay.

Sudden changes in weather & cooler temperatures we have experienced lately typically lead to noticeable changes in personal motivation & energy. This is normal & happens every year to varying degrees. It's even more important coming into the cooler months to stay focused on your lifestyle goals. The best way to do this is to sit down & create your plan or review your old plan. If you need help or support let Jen or I know. It's amazing how sitting with someone for just a few minutes to review personal performance can re-energise your resolve for months. On a side note, I personally find something as simple as FREE Daily or Weekly Motivational emails can give you a positive edge.

There's a NEW Yogalates 10 week course planned for May & another NEW style of BootCamp launching in May called Grappling Ropes.

Which brings up the point of our new Cross Training Gym area outside in the Courtyard. This consists of a huge 4 person chin-up rack, dip bar, 4 station waving ropes, 4 station rope pull through & 2 rope climb stations. All should be complete by May.

We're happy to see everyone appreciating the new gym equipment including the treadmill and rower. The extra space created by a change around of equipment is nice too!

new GRAPPLING ROPES BootCamp starting 02 May 2011!

Boot camps are a fun, safe and effective workout. Running in four week blocks, boot camps are a great way toside lunge ropes kick start your health and fitness regime. Choose from 3, 4 or 5 sessions per week and surprise yourself with just how much you really are capable of! Regardless of your fitness level, boot camps cater for everyone and seem to be highly addictive!

This next BootCamp will be running 5 weekday mornings per week & 3 evenings (M/W/F).

straight ropesGrappling Ropes BootCamp is a very even mixture of cardio & strength endurance & is totally non-impact & heaps of fun.

Every BootCamp includes a personal progress report, personal challenge, support workshop & a bonus gift for 1st time BootCampers.

Registration & payments need to be made by COB Wednesday the 20th April 2011 to receive the 8% early bird discount (existing bootcampers & members only).

12 Step Buddy Challenge to a SUPER SPRING

 

Winter is THE BEST time to build on your Fitness.

 

The more you exercise the warmer you will feel.

 

The more alert your senses,  the happier you will be!

 

We challenge you to step out of your comfort zone (the doona, the indoor heating, your perceived exercise limitations) and have a crack!   

Week one starts on 02 May and finishes 12 wks later on 24 July 2011.W

 

You don't necessarily need a Gym membership or be playing Sport to take on this Challenge!!      

What you do need is?  

1. a buddy (friend, family, team mate or just pay someone!)

2. a positive attitude

3. the understanding you will integrate a number of new activities ranging from 1-10min's per day  

over a 12 week period to no more than an hour a day total at the end of 12 weeks 

 

Join me on Monday the 2nd of May at 6.30pm to look at the program in full & answer any questions. buddy walk

Further workshops on Monday the 30th May & 27th June @ 6.30pm to provide further support & motivation.

 

To build a habit takes time & focus, so we start Week One small with a few daily tasks, and then add to that each week.  By the end of our Challenge in July, provided you've done your homework of weekly tasks, you should have a well-established routine of added exercise, feeling better with more energy & feel ready for a bigger challenge!

 

Tasks may include drinking more water, climbing a flight of stairs or trying a new food each week.  

You score points for all tasks completed and you choose what to do or skip based on your progress and how you're feeling.  

 

Now, here's the FUN part . . . IF you hit a perfect score for the week (all tasks achieved), you can award yourself a TREAT.  Treats are non-food indulgences and will also get you bonus points!

 

The top three Buddy Teams at the end of the Challenge will win prizes but there's also wild card prizes so everyone is encouraged to participate.

Introducing health checks
eval30 minutes of your time is all that's needed to complete a series of non-invasive health and wellness checks. Thehealth check includes a broken down analysis report of your body composition including, fat, lean tissue and water content. A blood pressure, back, heart & muscle health check will also be carried out. The health check will enable you to see exactly how your exercise and diet is taking effect on your body.

 

Health checks are available for $99 for non-members and $30 for members. 6 pack discounts apply.

Free membership for your friends and family
We want to encourage you to share your fitness experience with family and friends for FREE. Our aim is to keep your fitness habit consistent - even when friends are visiting you!  So bring along your mate for up to three sessions per year over any period of time TOTALLY FREE!! There's absolutely no obligation for them to join. This applies for each of your friends. That means, if you have a cousin that visits once per year, they can train with you, or choose their own sessions for their stay for free each year they visit. Why not bring a new friend every month to keep you company?!
Reminders
Suspensions
The minimum suspension period is 1 week. Suspension rights have a maximum of two months suspension within any one year period. To activate your suspension rights we require a legitimate reason. For example it must be work related travel, holidays or health reasons are also acceptable. Simply missing your session, is not. Notification for suspensions is still required in writing, this can include an email, 24hrs prior to your session times. Remember you can make up missed sessions in advance or arrears within the given month or use the virtual theatre anytime.
Corporate Memberships

Corporate memberships can be purchased by and registered business. A minmum of three staff is required with proof of regular employment necessary. Corporate memberships are available for a set 12 month period and carry no suspension or transfer rights. Fees are payable upfront. They attract a 30% discount off our regular rates and are fully tax deductible.
