Faster Athlete Now Training at XPC Xtreme Performance Center Adds Youth Sports Performance Training
FAST Classes Now Offered in Two Locations
|
|
TULSA, OK - 6/02/11
Faster Athlete owner Dan Hedman's motto - "Where Are You Going?" - has new meaning this month because he is now offering his Faster Athlete Speed Training (FAST) classes at two locations. If you are in the South or West part of the metroplex classes are still being held at 141st and US75 in Glenpool. Students from Tulsa and the North or East part of the area can now get Coach Dan's training at the new Xtreme Performance Center. XPC is located in Eaton Square on the NE corner of 61st and Memorial in the old Aspen Fitness building
"XPC is a unique training center, not just another gym," said Chris Underwood, Sales Director @ XPC. "We offer training in MMA fighting, martial arts and boxing for professionals as well as non-competitive adults training for fitness." XPC also offers traditional work out equipment for cardio and strength training as well as cutting edge training fitness classes for those in shape and trying to get in shape. "We have a variety of programs and personal training for adults", said Underwood, "And now Faster Athlete allows us to offer training for youth athletes as well."
"Many of my athletes drive long distances to see me", said Coach Dan,"But not everyone who wants training can squeeze the drive into their schedule. It has been my vision from the beginning to offer classes in different parts of the metroplex and take FAST to the kids, rather than make them drive to me. XPC is in the middle of the city right off of US 169 and has a great facility. It is the perfect venue to make this happen." FAST also plans to begin classes in Broken Arrow this next winter.
FAST classes are for ages 8-14, with private training available for high school students. Classes are currently held Tues and Thursday nights. Cost is $129 per month or $299 for 3 months. FAST is offering a back to school special of 3 months for $199 that expires 9/12/11.
Coach Hedman says, "I use the question "Where Are You Going? Because if you don't know where you are going, how are you going to get there?", "Most kids like the idea of playing sports, they just don't always understand what it takes to get there. The ultimate goal of FAST is to help kids achieve their dreams so FAST isn't just drills, we teach students the 5 Rules to becoming a faster athlete which also applies to all areas of life." The 5 Rules are 1) Show up, 2) Listen, 3) Work hard, 4) Have fun and 5) Never, ever quit. "To improve at anything requires a person understand their goal - where they are going - and then begin walking towards it, or in our case, running towards it!" said Hedman. "Faster Athlete training develops game speed which in turn develops confidence. FAST athletes show up on the first day of practice ready to play and that helps give our kids the maximum opportunity to succeed," said Coach Dan. A typical class will involve a dynamic warm-up, mechanical instruction and strength development and usually ends with some kind of fun game. "These are not miniature adults, they are kids, and this is supposed to be fun. We want every child to leave exhausted but with a smile on his face," said Coach Dan.
