First "Exploring Church Vocations" Event a Success
In conjunction with the opening of the Michigan
District Convention, Concordia hosted its first "Exploring Church
Vocations" event on June 28. Twelve potential students, about half of
them already enrolled for the fall, came to hear panel discussions on
discerning a call to ministry and ministry challenges and joys.
Participants also enjoyed the ministry tent and the conclusion of the
Ablaze! torch relay. At the end of the day, all were invited to the
opening service of the convention. Student responses show that it
experience was very valuable and enjoyable for all. One student stated, "I think it was an experience that was perfect! I loved every aspect of it, from the events, to the connections with the panel."
