The past few weeks were extremely busy in the VISION office. Working with our VISION partners throughout the county, we participated in a variety of activities in the areas of education, parenting, arts, congregational health, and community service.

Schuylkill County Teachers of the Year Named

Louise Kadingo and Mark Laubenstine were named Schuylkill County's VISION
Teachers of the Year on Wednesday, May 19 in a ceremony at the Oak Hill Inn,

Parenting Resource Tables at No Subject is Taboo Program

No Subject is Taboo Parenting Program Resource Page
On Sunday, April
18, 2010, No Subject is Taboo, a free parenting program was organized
and presented by the Schuylkill County's VISION Mental Health
Committee. This
program was designed for parents of children ages 10 to 21 and covered
difficult subjects ranging from using technology to talking to your

MAY is Mental Health Month The Schuylkill County Commissioners recognized the "Poster and Coasters" campaign in a
proclamation on May 12. The campaign will blanket the county with
beverage coasters and small poster with information on the signs of suicide and
a number to call for help The message is "you can be a life
