 Jeet Kune Do is here! We now have a full Contemporary Jeet Kune Do program at EMA of Greensboro and Stoney Creek.
JKD is the art that Bruce Lee developed which encouraged the practitioner to experiment with various styles and use "No Way as Way." Contemporary JKD has continued to grow and blossom even after Bruce Lee's death by incorporating new methods but still utilizing the concepts that Lee promoted.
Additionally, one key element added to C-JKD is basic Philippine Knife and Stick work. Master Hendrix has studied Philippine methods for nearly a decade.
C-JKD is a fun and eclectic way to learn to defend yourself. The basic principles and concepts are very easy to learn and the class has become popular with both men and women! There are no special uniforms; you just wear your regular street clothes.

World HapKiDo President, Grand Master Tae Jung will be conducting a seminar at Essential Martial Arts on November 20th!!!

| Tai Chi is Coming to EMA | |
Starting in January our Greensboro school will offer Tai Chi classes.
Tai Chi is a slow, flowing and graceful moving meditation which cultivates a calm, focused and centered mind.
While Tai Chi is an ancient exercise system for developing a vibrant, strong and supple body, Essential Martial Arts will be teaching a simplified version of the ancient art that will combine techniques and principals from both Yang Style and Chen Style Tai Chi along with relaxing qigong (breathing and energy) exercises.
The EMA Tai Chi program is ideal for busy people with limited time who need: Mental focus, low impact health improving exercise and a reduction in stress. Tai Chi can provide all these benefits!
Finally, Tai Chi is a highly effective "internal" and low impact martial art for confidence and self-defense.
