ADVOCACY ALERT!
STEP UP for WESTCHESTER'S KIDS
September 28th - October 5th
One week to make kids a county priority
Dear Child Advocate...

We thought you would want to know that 2009 Census figures released today show that 12.2% (or 27,637) of Westchester's children under 18 years lived at the federal poverty level and 25.2% (or 57,347) lived at twice the federal poverty level... That's $44,100 for a family of four.

Now more than ever, children need our help!

Thousands of Westchester's children depend on our County's help for early childhood education, healthcare, job training, and other services.  These investments have a big payoff for youngsters themselves and for our entire Westchester community.

Yet Westchester's positive investments in children are threatened with steep cuts in the 2011 budget.

You can help Westchester County make the right budget choices.  Join us to make Westchester's children a priority in the 2011 County budget.
