Child- and
youth-focused organizations, including WCA, are rallying to support children and youth services in
Westchester County on Thursday, May 6th at the southeast corner
of Martine Ave. and Martin Luther King Blvd. in White Plains (across the street
from the White Plains Library)... rain or shine. This is the first event
sponsored by Action 4 Kids, a
campaign to protect our future by promoting public investments in children and
youth.
The rally will begin
at 4 PM. Some participants will be walking over from the County Center
following the Westchester Early Care & Education Conference, sponsored by
the Child Care Council of Westchester.
We need your participation to show the elected
officials that voters not only care about children's programs, but are a
powerful, organized and informed voice that are unafraid to speak up and
mobilize to protect the best interests of children. Print out flyers (English and Spanish) and spread the word.
Check the Rally 4 Kids blog
regularly for campaign updates. Let us
know who to expect by registering for the rally
(registration is not required for attendance).
