OUR CHILDREN NEED SUPPORT FROM ALL LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT

In times of challenge and uncertainty, such as we are facing now, children need leaders who are willing to make them a priority. Investments today in the well being of children and youth result in long term savings because they prevent future problems at a fraction of the cost of later treating problems. Invest in our future TODAY!

Westchester County: Not on the Backs of Children and Families

To reduce County spending by $16 million in 2010, County Executive Rob Astorino announced plans to trim the Social Services budget by $5.8 million, including a reduction of $3.3 million (20% of the overall budget reduction) in services to foster children, the 1,000 most vulnerable citizens of Westchester County. Remind him and County Legislators to limit the impact on children and families as they consolidate and streamline government.
