ADVOCACY ALERT!
Health Reform is at a Critical Point on Capitol Hill
|
|
FIRST DO NO HARM!
As you read this email, the House is editing final Health Reform legislation that does not offer affordable, accessible, continuous and comprehensive health coverage for children.
ACT NOW: Tell your representative to support health reform for all children.
Children must be held harmless under any public health insurance plan enacted and not lose gains made under existing Medicaid and CHIP. Health reform should improve or at least do no harm to the lives of children.
There's still time to make changes to this legislation, but you need to ACT NOW.
Your representative has the ability to influence key colleagues to support the child friendly amendments of Representatives DeGette and Rush, including: affordable coverage for low to moderate income families; a comprehensive benefits package; and simplified enrollment and re-enrollment systems. We understand the need to reform our nation's health care system, but the needs of children must be addressed. As advocates, we must reach out to Congress and make sure kids are included from head to toe in reform!
ACT NOW:
Contact your U.S. Representative Tuesday and Wednesday (7/21 & 7/22)
to help kids keep health care:
- Rep. Eliot Engel
- Rep. Nita Lowey
- Rep. John Hall
You may reach members of Congress by calling the Capitol Hill switchboard toll-free at 1-866-277-7617 and asking for a specific U.S. Representative's office or visiting the TAKE ACTION section of the WCA website.
