Sandy Cove Marine-We Work on Boats and Harder on Friendships!
Welcome to the Sandy Cove Sentinel

Greetings!

Thank you for taking the time to read The Sandy Cove Sentinel!

If you know of anyone who you think should get this newsletter, please forward the Sentinel to them and they can join using the "Join Our Mailing List" button on the right.

Please give me feedback if there is anything you would like to see covered in The Sandy Cove Sentinel.

I mean anything... from engine maintenance & repair to pictures which you'd like to see because you're not here, like the one on the right. I will happily oblige.

Thank you again!
Johan

Yamaha School Achievement

Yamaha Module 1 Certificate

As you know (or should know if you got my postcard) I have attended the Yamaha Technical Training School in Kennesaw, Georgia in October after obtaining my Yamaha 5 Star Certification earlier this year.

I am happy to say that I passed the October Schooling and that I am now qualified to continue classes in order to obtain my Master Technician's Certification.

I will be at Yamaha School from 15 - 23 November and again from 6 - 14 December.

During these dates, Sandy Cove Marine Sales will be closed and will re-open on November 24th and December 15th.

I apologise in advance for any inconvenience.

While it is obviously to my benefit being certified, I will also be able to give you better service and cut down on expensive diagnostic time. I am sure you will understand.

Please arrange any annual service work around these dates to book your spot and avoid dissapointment.

I look forward to seeing you here!
Johan

Channel 2 Bridge is LOW!

 Channel 2 Destroys T-Top

Granted, it's not every day one sees something like this happening, but I thought it'll be a good reminder when next time you think your boat's not that high or the tide is low enough!

The people who rented this boat weren't even wanting to go under it!

They were fishing close by and the current just pulled them in!

The T-Top got ripped right out of the deck and landed in the water...with the motor still in gear and no way to stop it but with a rope in the prop.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Physically, that is.

Emotionally? You answer that one!

Fact is that unless you have a Flats Boat or a Bay Boat without a T-Top, rather use Channel 5.

Swimming on the Bay Side?

I don't think so!

I have always wondered why there isn't more waterskiing activity and long distance swimming competitions on the Bay Side.

I mean all that water is just lying there and is often flat calm as any lake can be.

Well, maybe the 1000lb Tiger Shark (Jaws in the Picture) is good reason not to think about it!

Congratulations!

Three of our customers changed out boats recently and I wish you guys loads of happy times, flat seas and plenty fish!
