The First Seven Days - Simply Fantastic

It has been a terrific start to the school year. Thanks to students, parents, faculty, and staff, the opening of school has been seamless. New students and returning students have transitioned joyfully and smoothly into the daily rhythms of the school day. As I have witnessed the welcoming and supporting of our new and returning students and families by the members of our school community, I am reminded of this section of our school vision statement. "The Grammar School attracts a committed and caring staff who embrace the distinctive contributions of each and every person in the community. At The Grammar School, students, parents, and staff know they can make a difference  -and they do."

ALL SCHOOL POTLUCK THIS FRIDAY

Back to School Potluck - Friday September 16 at 6:00 pm

Please join us this Friday for a fun night of socializing, good food, introductions of our new families, and a back to school slide show. The event will take place in the auditorium beginning at 6:00 pm. We ask all families to bring a main dish, salad, or dessert to feed at least 8-10 people. This is a well attended event with lots of hungry children. During the potluck it is my expectation that students will stay in the auditorium until the end of the evenings festivities. Please see below about our Tropical Storm Irene Donations to bring to the potluck.

Tropical Storm Irene Donations at TGS

In response to the needs of local and regional families who have suffered losses due to the storm, TGS has decided to collect food, school supplies, or cleaning products to donate to local and regional food shelfs and family centers. Please bring these items to the potluck this Friday. There will be boxes and or bags in the hallway before you enter the auditorium. Thank you !
