PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES

On April 15th from 12:30-4:30 pm, The Grammar School will be offering a half day of parent/teacher conferences. As you know, these conferences are an important method of communicating between school and home. We offer conferences in August, October, January and April. The April conferences offer another way for parents to check in with teachers and vice versa.

Conferences for 5th-8th graders are by teacher or parent request. Because we have only a half-day of conferences, the number of conference slots is limited, and we may need to accommodate requested conferences at a mutually convenient time on another day. Teachers of these grades are not expecting to see every parent.

The preschool-4th grade teachers would like to see all parents, if possible. Again, conference slots are limited and will be twenty minutes in length, and we may need to accommodate some conferences on different days.

We ask for your patience and consideration of the limited time. Please call our office manager Tammy for an appointment.

TGS BIKE CAMPS!

Once again we have the good fortune to have Daq Woods and Jason Sperling return to TGS to run our awesome mountain bike camps. The half day camp for younger riders 8-12 years old will be July 5th-8th. The all day camp for more experienced riders will be July 12th-15th. Brochures for the camp are outside Tammy's office and a small blurb about the camps went home yesterday in the summer camp packet. If you need more info please email dgray@thegrammarschool.org. These camps are very popular and fill up fast, so please reserve your spot now!  Thanks!

MUD SEASON NOTE

UPPER SCHOOL STUDENTS - Please bring a pair of clean shoes or slippers to wear in the building ASAP!  After break, we will be requiring you to change your foot wear until the mud dries up and we can't follow your tracks up the stairs, into the classroom, and right to your desks! The stairs have been requiring multiple sweepings a day, and the rugs upstairs are saturated with dirt, sand, and moisture. Bring in flip-flops, sandals, slippers, clogs - a pair of shoes that WILL NOT be worn outside.

Thank you from your weary sometimes cleaning crew,
Laurie, Hop, and Johanna.

WEAVING CLASSES WITH SHANA FRANK

Colorful cotton yarns, portable inkle looms, and expert instruction are provided. For girls and boys, ages 8 yr. and up. Cost: $100. Reserve a Spring Vacation date or any Saturday by contacting Shana Frank, 802-722-4359 or shanaf@sover.net. Shana teaches weaving in TGS's Studio Arts Summer Camp program.
