WELCOME BACK!
- Welcome back to all our families. Our first day went very smoothly
thanks to many of you! It's wonderful having our students back in the
buildings, playgrounds, and in the hallway. Our first all school
meeting was joyful and informative. We welcomed new students and were
treated to social skills skits by our 6th 7th and 8th graders. Here's
to a great 2009-10 school year. I hope to see you all at the all
school pot luck Next Friday, September 11th! Steve
PIZZA! - We will begin selling pizza next Wednesday! $2 a slice to help defray the cost of eighth grade field trips.
TGS Website Updates -We have been working to make the website more current and informative and we encourage you to check out the changes and additions. Please find each class homeroom page under the PROGRAM button, and click on the teachers' page link for class news and announcements. (Most of the teachers' pages are linked but a few are still under construction.) The PARENT RESOURCES button has links to important school documents. Use the SPORTS link on the homepage to access the latest schedules and information. We'd love to hear your suggestions for making the website more useful -please contact Mary at with suggestions.
Hello TGS Community! In preparation for the 50th Anniversary of TGS beginning next fall of 2010, we are launching a 50th Anniversary Logo Contest! Open to all TGS community members, the new logo will be a key feature when we roll out festivities for the celebration.
We are seeking an image which incorporates our name, the bird (created by former parent Roger Sandes) and mention of the 50th (1960-2010) while at the same time celebrating the spirit that is TGS.
Contact Mark Green for the current logo/address. The winning entry will be decided by December 1st and the winner will receive a $100 gift certificate to either Front Porch, Heartstone Books or West Hill Shop. We will try to display all entries when the contest ends. All ages are welcome to participate.
Good luck and thank you!
