AMAZING PERFORMANCES BY TGS ALUMS ON THE NATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY SKI SCENE! SPRING AUCTION! - SAVE THE DATE! Friday, May 15th at Boggy Meadow Farm in Walpole, NH.

READING CHALLENGE CONTINUES - We're in the second week of the reading challenge.  I hope that you are enjoying this non-competitive reading initiative as a way to celebrate reading and books in your home.  One of the top predictors of a child's reading habit is whether parents are seen reading or not.  So, read to your child, with your child or beside your child during this special muddy season.  And, don't forget to help your child record their time.  Enjoy!  Ponnie

1ST AND 2ND GRADES ARE LOOKING FOR - Mexican items to borrow for a couple of weeks for their Mexican studies. Please let Ginny or Eve know if you can

ORCHESTRA CONCERT - TGS Students in grades K-5 will travel to Brattleboro on Thursday, March 26 for a 9:00 am free performance of the Windham Orchestra called "Meet the Orchestra". A work by Gregory Smith, "The Orchestra Games", an inventive look at the unique qualities of the instruments of the orchestra, will highlight the program.  With an Olympic array of musical "events" from the Fast-Note Dash to The Low-Note Limbo, this engaging composition promises to be the centerpiece of a memorable concert.  This program is made possible by a generous grant from the Music Drives Us Foundation. Gregory Smith has written a number of interesting, educational, and entertaining pieces to educate children about orchestra music, and has a long list of television and movie credits to his name, as well as a long history with Disney. Conductor, David Runnion, will soon be heard at TGS playing cello in the pit orchestra of the 7-8 musical "South Pacific".

DONATIONS OF NON-PERISHABLE FOODS - are being collected by the Sixth grade, during the month of March.  You may bring items to their classroom or to the box outside the main office.  Thank you for your thoughtful contributions.
