|LMCS Standards Policy|
| The LMSC Standards policy was updated by the Board of Directors earlier this year for the first time since its adoption in 2009. This document, which used to be called the "LMSC Minimum Standards," outlines the basic level of service that an LMSC shall deliver to its members.|
The LMSC Standards document can be found at usms.org in the Guide to Operations under the Administration tab. You'll see the link in the LMSC Management section.
All LMSC officers and volunteers are encouraged to review the policy to understand the required and suggested standards of service and governance.
The LMSC Development Committee reviews how the LMSCs are performing so it can better provide mentoring and education services to that group of volunteers. The process of LMSC self-assessment, review and error check is underway through the LMSC Chairs. Self-assessment surveys (due July 4) will be combined with data from the National Office and Top 10 coordinator. Results are expected in late July to early August. Please help to ensure accurate data as well as to identify gaps within your LMSC by working with your LMSC and Zone Chairs. Questions may be directed to:
Paige Buehler, Chair, LMSC Development Committee
Rob Copeland, Vice-Chair, LMSC Development Committee
Ed Tsuzuki, USMS Vice-President of Local Operations
