AIM Commercial Goes Live
What does a Teacher have in common with a Dad, a Firefighter, and a Karate Kid? Stumped? They all shop at their local Ag Institute Farmers Market. You may have seen them at the market, but have you seen them in AIM's new commercials?
The commercials will run on Comcast's Food Network, CNN, Fox News, and Bravo in the North & East Bay. They're a part of AIM's newest educational outreach/advertising campaign designed to challenge the stereotype of who shops at farmers markets and why. Many thanks to our talented farmers market shoppers, Mark Pasternak of Devil's Gulch Ranch, and Atomic Productions.
Speaking of edu-advertising, take a moment to peruse the archives of our farmer profiles that have run in over 2 dozen local publications since 2005. After all, food tastes better when you know the story of the people who grew it. |

Grand Lake Voted Best of the East Bay!
Congratulations to the Grand Lake Farmers Market community of farmers, food purveyors & artisans for being named the Best Farmers Market in the East Bay by the East Bay Express (see pp. 55). Many thanks to you, our loyal customers, for your support and your vote. You all play an integral role in creating a market that is "fresh, vibrant, diverse, laid-back and 100% Oakland."
Join market manager Brad Burger at the Best of the East Bay Launch party, Friday August 6th, at Jack London Square. Stop by AIM's booth to enter a drawing for a Grand Lake tote bag. With three stages, a kid's party zone, and a dance battle it's sure to be a good time for all. |
