Market Moola Expires Oct. 31st
Market Moola"Market Moola," a program of Community Child Care Council of Sonoma County (4Cs), ends this Saturday, Oct. 31st. Thanks to a grant from First 5 Marin, 4Cs distributed $5,000 worth of vouchers to daycare providers and families in Marin to purchase fresh foods from MFM's farmers markets.

If you still have "Market Moola" in your wallet (pictured above), be sure to come to the
Thursday Marin Civic Center Farmers Market today to put it to good use! Many thanks to 4Cs and First 5 Marin. This is one of many efforts in the Bay Area, along with EBT Food Stamps and WIC, to make fresh and local produce accessible to all.

Bringing Local Farm Fresh Food to BioneersBioneers logo
Marin Farmers Markets and Marin Agricultural Institute have been working with the Bioneers conference since 2006, enabling thousands of conference participants to walk their talk when it comes to supporting a local food system and reducing their eco-footprint. Over the past three years, Bioneers has purchased more than $37,500 worth of local food from MFM farmers and food purveyors through MAI's Farm to Fork local distribution program.

TruckThis year, Bioneers sourced  $14,500 of locally grown fruit, vegetables, meats, cheese, and prepared foods from more than 43 MFM farmers and specialty food purveyors. Bioneers worked with Epicurean Group and Embassy Suites to prepare over a dozen unique seasonal menus for the multi-day conference at the Marin Center in San Rafael. A delicious job well done.
