Three months in and the market is bustling! You're cordially invited to the Stonestown Farmers Market Official Grand Opening Celebration - Sunday, October 18th. Join us for a pumpkin cutting ceremony at 11 am with the Stonestown Galleria, Marin Farmers Markets, local public officials and community representatives, followed by a traditional Chinese lion dance and tours of the market with Life's Ingredients. Get directions to the market and see a list of the local farmers, food purveyors, and artisans you'll meet on Sunday.
Omnivore's Discovery  - A Benefit for MAI, MALT & Bioneers

Wanting to tour three West Marin Ranches, get an insiders look at the Thursday Civic Center Farmers Market, and savor a locally-grown feast on a farm? The Omnivore's Discover field trip is your dream come true!

On October 15th, join Marin Agricultural Institute (MAI) and Marin Agricultural Land Trust (MALT) for a tour of the 26 year-old Marin Civic Center Farmers Market. Then head West to visit four local family farms: Red Hill Ranch & County Line Harvest (pictured above), Chileno Valley Ranch, and the Tresch Dairy.

The tour starts at 9 am at the Marin Veteran's Auditorium and will return at 5:30 pm. We'll enjoy a delicious lunch featuring locally grown foods from the farmers and ranchers we'll meet that day.

Tickets are $150 for Bioneers members and $175 for non-members. Proceeds will benefit MAI, MALT & Bioneers. Space is limited, be sure to register soon!
newpark mall tokensNewPark Mall Offers Tokens for Newark Farmers Market
In the month of October the NewPark Mall will  exchange your receipts from NewPark Mall food vendors for tokens redeemable at the Newark Farmers Market. Bring your receipts to the Mall Management Office to receive $5-$20 in tokens which can be used to take home seasonal produce and delicious prepared foods from your favorite farmers market vendors.Tokens can be redeemed at the Newark Farmers Market through the end of the year. Thanks to the NewPark Mall for their generosity!

Join us Sunday, October 18th, at the Marin Civic Center Farmers Market for a chef demonstration by Angela Karegeannes of A Fork Full of Earth, an "edu-catering" company. 
 
At 10 am (and again at 11am) Angela will teach customers how to prepare Grecian Grass-Fed Meatballs with spiced pickled onions and homemade ketchup. Join Angela at the front cafe of the market for the demonstration.

This Saturday, Full Belly Farm will be celebrating their annual Hoes Down Harvest Festival in the Capay Valley. We are especially excited to have completed our first season as a plastic-free market, we could not have done it without the support of both vendors and customers alike.
