Emergency Plea for Cleaning Buckets
UPDATE! (Original message below)
INUMC appreciates all who are undertaking the assembly of cleaning buckets to replenish the rapidly diminishing supply at Midwest Mission Distribution Center. Normally there are many thousands of buckets, but because of the spring floods, MMDC only has 144 buckets on hand.
The Central District has a goal of donating 1800 cleaning buckets. This will fill one semi truck!
Please be advised that we have storage space at the Poultry Building at the Marion County Fairgrounds, 7300 Troy Ave. (Troy & Southeastern Ave area). The building will be open to receive assembled buckets on the following dates:
Saturday August 4 9am-3pm
Saturday August 11 9am-3pm
Saturday August 18 9am-3pm
Blessings,
To: All Central District Churches

[Indianapolis] Despite the current drought conditions UMCOR is in dire need of Clean-up Buckets (flood buckets) to restock the shelves at UMCOR's Midwest Mission Supply Distribution Depot on Chatham,IL. Thousands of buckets were sent this spring to the flood victims in the North Central Jurisdiction, and the shelves are nearly bare. There are only 144 buckets in stock.
The Marion County Fairgrounds has graciously allowed us the use of one of their buildings to store the buckets for a brief time until we have a semi-load.
Volunteers will be needed for the receiving of buckets, so watch for details on how you can help.
