Greetings!

Buying power - working together to leverage lower prices for things your church may use every week - is the goal of the Indiana Conference Cost Stewardship program introduced at Annual Conference this month.

We are rolling out the Krispy Kreme doughnut program to Central District churches to test the buying power of some of our district churches. Other programs, including the Office Depot business account savings program are soon to follow.

If your church provides doughnuts every Sunday, we hope you will look at the cost savings of the Krispy Kreme delivery service and sign up.

Sincerely,

Bert Kite, Superintendent
Central District

Krispy Kreme now provides extensive state-wide distribution to grocery stores, gas stations and convenience stores in small, medium and large communities so there is a very good chance most churches can be served as well. We are embarking on a logical sequence to enlist churches in Indiana to maximize the probability of deliveries to as many churches as possible. This is the opportunity to sign up in the Central District.

Program director Monte Chamberlin, chair of the finance team at The Promise UMC in Fishers, is organizing this cost savings program and will be following up with phone calls to your church soon. You may contact him at 317-409-2984 or email him at monte.chamberlin@att.net for more information.

Comments from some of the test site churches:
"By combining our doughnut purchases every week, we will save more that $2,500 this year! That's real money we can use to help support our youth ministries here at THE PROMISE." -- Rev. Rusty Alanson, Pastor, THE PROMISE Church, Fishers, IN.

"I started using the new office supply program immediately upon receiving my info. I cannot get over the discounts I am getting. It is saving us a tremendous amount of money. I am very happy with the ease of placing my order on line and the quick delivery." -- Lynda Alexander, district assistant, South District, IN Conference UMC.
