Greetings!

During the committee hearings on "Gun Bill Day" in the Senate, gun owners were conspicuous by their absence both in Annapolis, and by their lack of effort sending emails and making phone calls. As a result, things did not go as well as they could have for our side.

Defending the 2nd Amendment is not a spectator sport. We have done everything we can think of to make it easier for the average gun owner to participate.

We need your support on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 when testimony on the gun bills will be heard in the House Judiciary Committee.

If you cannot be in Annapolis to support us and your 2nd Amendment Rights, at least make phone calls and send emails. See the links below under "Gun Bill Day" in the House.

Best regards,

JHJ

OPPOSE:

HB 252 - Crimes - Possession of Loaded Handgun or Regulated Firearm - Enhanced Penalties

Establishes a felony offense with a mandatory 18 month minimum sentence, courts will have no probation before verdict option, no probation after verdict option and no possibility of parole for the mere possession of a loaded handgun or regulated firearm.

HB 330 - Firearms - Detachable Magazines - Maximum Capacity for Ammunition

This bill will make it a crime to know that you are committing a crime.

HB 705 - Crimes - Pawn Shop Sales of Firearms - Prohibition
