U.S. Supreme Court Rules on McDonald vs. Chicago

The U.S. Supreme Court just handed down a ruling in the McDonald vs. Chicago case. The Supreme Court has ruled that the 2nd Amendment applies to the States and not just to the Federal government.

From the Washington Post:

"The Supreme Court ruled Monday that the Constitution's "right to keep and bear arms" applies nationwide as a restraint on the ability of the federal, state and local governments to substantially limit its reach."
