I never thought we'd be homeless. |
"Never, not even in my worst nightmare did I think that my daughter and I would become part of the homeless population. We lived in places that reeked of urine, where there were lice, places that were unclean and unhealthy. I lived in terrible fear that someone would take my daughter away from me. When I was about ready to give up, a friend told me about Vision House. When we moved in, it was only then that I was able to release my tears. I felt safe, stable and secure. Vision House gave me a sense of peace."

School Supplies Needed Schools require students to bring more and
more items!
|
Can you provide some school supplies for a homeless child? | Students are required to bring many more items to school than in years past. And the homeless families at Vision House can barely afford the basics!
Can you drop off some of these school supplies or make a financial donation by Friday, August 13th so we can help purchase what each child needs?
These are actual items some schools are requiring that our students bring: - Calculators: graphing and basic - Baby wipes - Kleenex boxes - Hand sanitizers with pumps - Clorox wipes - Paper plates - Copy machine paper - Crayola water color sets - Crayons, pencils, colored pencils, markers - Dry erase markers - Fine point sharpie markers - Post-it notes - Freezer size Ziploc baggies - Granola bars - Jump "thumb" drives
