Vision House is pleased to announce that we have broken ground on our Shoreline expansion project - Jacob's Well. Modeled after the successful Vison House program in Renton, the complex will consist of 20 housing units for homeless families, on-site child care for 65 children and a crisis center.
Watch the video | Over the past two years, most of our typical funding sources have let us know dollars are just not available for this project. Even sources
from whom we had several hundred thousand dollars in funding commitments let us know they won't be able to fulfill their pledge. So knowing how great the need is and the fact that we have 50 families on our waiting list, what are we to do? We have faith and expect miracles!
We are moving forward on the Jacob's Well project primarily on an in-kind contributions and volunteer basis. Our plan is to have our resource and fundraising efforts stay just ahead of the construction timeline. This effort takes Vision House back to our roots because it is exactly how we built our first two buildings that are still serving families today!
We are committed to building Jacob's Well debt free and we are willing to delay the project if resources are not available to move forward. Please take time to learn more and see how you, your company or church might be involved.

JACOB'S WELL PLANNING MEETING
Jacob's Well is the next Vision House expansion in Shoreline, Washington. (More Information) All are welcome to the next Jacob's Well Planning meeting Thursday, June 3rd, 7-9 AM. Coffee and pastries will be from 7:00 - 7:30. Meeting will start promptly at 7:30 and will end at 9:00. Graham Contracting is currently installing the foundation and it should be nearing completion by the time of our meeting (See Pictures)
This will be an important meeting as we lay out a plan to complete the framing on a largely volunteer basis, plan events, provide meals on site, and develop a prayer team. We are pleased to report that MANY churches, companies, community groups, individuals and even our city council want to help. Our goal will be to have the building framed in and dry by this winter.
