Greetings!
I have been inspired by so much lately and I am excited to share it with you! This video about the Jazz and Democracy Project just gave me goose bumps and hope for us all...
http://youtu.be/-Mc9YwlWdRE?hd=1
Seriously, drawing a comparison between what it is to be a jazz musician and the process of making music to the importance of the democratic process and conscious citizenship and by implementing a commitment to excellence and genius through the example of jazz music and taken this lesson to our most vulnerable youth and offering them these insights that they may never have gotten! WOW! INCREDIBLE WORK! - Dr. Wesley Joseph Watkins IV is one of my heroes for sure!
This thinking is the CHANGE I am working for ... check it out and spread the word - if you love music, if you love our youth, if you believe in democracy really check this out... This is brilliant! To learn more about the Jazz and Democracy Project and how to support, please visit www.jazzanddemocracy.com and to have a chance to win some incredible prizes such as passes to the Monterey Jazz Festival and San Jose Jazz Festival, along with private lessons from some of the Bay Area's top musicians, such as Marcus Shelby, you can purchase raffle tickets beginning June 20th. www.jazzanddemocracy.com/fundraiser
