SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 10, 2010 -Urban Music Presents and Coda Jazz Supper Club present "Tu Gusto Musical", a series of music concerts of the Latin Diaspora. Moving to a new night on Thursdays beginning October 14th, this unique series is curated by Stephanie Dalton of Urban Music Presents - a community newsletter founded in 2002 covering San Francisco's vibrant Latin music scene whose reach has since surpassed 7,000 subscribers. Stephanie's artistic vision for the series was to reach into the full diaspora of Latin and Creole musical styles and offer a broad overview of the diverse musical offerings of Latin America and the African influence on Latin music.


Coda. Supper Club to accentuate this night of superb music is offering a  cuisine will feature a Northern Californian palliate of the freshest ingredients that are harvested locally and organically.

 

Audiences will experience Cuban salsa and rumba, Brazilian samba and bossa nova, Puerto Rican bomba and plena, Haitian kreyol, Spanish flamenco, Peruvian lando, Venezuelan jaropo, Chilean Cueca Andean huaino, and a broad range of Creole styles where Latin, African, European, and American styles collided.

 

The Bay Area musicians featured in this series have shared the bandstand with Giovanni Hidalgo, Pete Escovedo, Ruben Blades, Susanna Baca, Omara Portuondo, Los Van Van, Eddie Palmieri, Ray Charles, Gloria Estefan, Sheila E. Celia Cruz, Hector Lavoe, Poncho Sanchez, and many more.
