An email written
on January 21 to U.S.
Director of Sionfonds Annie Blackstone, from an employee of Sionfonds,
who worked in the office in Port-au-Prince,
showsthe desperation they are facing:

"Hi

of people ( doctors and nurces) to come. it is very important that you
bring stuffs like clothes, food or anything you can cause now so many of the
chrildren are homeless, hungry. so hopeless so i need you to come if you can.
