Please join us Saturday, March 10, at International Market Square for our 2012 Make Them Shine Gala. This annual fundraising event is critical to our success as an organization and our ability to respond to the needs of nearly 2,000 children and families throughout the Twin Cities each year.
We'll be sharing details about the event every other week through our Gala Gazette. I hope reading it leads you to purchase tickets or a table, and to join us for a wonderful evening!

Make Them Shine Gala
Within every child is a spark. Light the way. Make them shine.
On Saturday, March 10, we anticipate that more than 500 guests will gather at International Market Square in Minneapolis to recognize the importance of early childhood intervention.
The evening includes an exclusive VIP sponsor reception, silent and live auctions, dinner, inspirational program and entertainment. The $325,000 we raise that night will improve outcomes for hundreds of children in early education and early intervention programs.
Join us for a great night. Learn about and support a great cause. For more details, see our Gala web page. |
Esteemed Guest Megan Gunnar, Ph.D
Our esteemed guest of the evening, Dr. Megan Gunnar, will present findings on how adverse early-life experiences can affect a child's developing brain and how intervention from sensitive and responsive adults can "recalibrate" it later in life.
Megan is director of the Institute of Child Development at the University of Minnesota. In 1996 she was honored as a Distinguished McKnight University Professor and in 2006 was named Regents Professor, the highest distinction a University of Minnesota professor can receive.
