An Amazing Transformation 

JoeyThere was a time when Joey and his parents weren't sure where to turn. A diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder put a name to the challenges Joey had faced, losing ground developmentally while his parents searched for answers. The challenge had a name, but not a response. They needed St. David's Center.

Autism Awareness

As part of Autism Awareness Month, we're hosting several events in April for children and families of all abilities.

  • ADT MuralThanks to those who were able to join us at our private, sensory-friendly showing of Rio last Saturday, April 16.
  • If you're a parent of a child on the autism spectrum, don't miss our Community Education Series on Thursday, April 28 to learn more tried-and-true strategies from our experts.
  • Check out the mural the children in our Autism Day Treatment program created (above) the next time you're in Ridgedale Mall's Center Court.
1st to Provide Multi-Dimensional Treatment Foster Care in MN

We are thrilled to announce that we were selected by Hennepin County to be the first certified Multi-Dimensional Treatment Foster Care (MTFC) service provider in Minnesota for children ages six to 11! There is currently only one other provider certified for this age group in the U.S.; located in Washington.

Busting at the Seams

Starting this summer, we will lease off-site space in St. Louis Park to provide both office and program space for staff involved primarily in services to individuals with enduring special needs and individuals receiving home-based prevention and mental health services. 

 

In the coming months, we will also begin Phase 1 of the renovation of our Minnetonka site, which will bring our building and services into better alignment.

Fall Festival TurtleThe dates are set for our two biggest events! Mark your calendar for the 6th Annual Fall Festival, a free, outdoor family event on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at St. David's Center. And get set for our main fundraiser, the 24th Annual Gala, on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at International Market Square. See if we can top our 50th Anniversary event, which raised just over $320,000!
