Thank you to the volunteers who helped make our 50th Anniversary Gala a success! The event raised more than $100,000 than last year, with gross revenue totaling $320,000!
Forty volunteers checked coats, sold raffle tickets, gathered auction items and introduced BidPals to more than 550 guests.

This quarterly newsletter will keep you up-to-date on volunteer opportunities and events at St. David's Center as well as highlight some of the volunteers committed to helping St. David's Center nurture the development of every child and family. |

Meet Clare  We'd like you to meet Clare Sanford, manager of community and donor relations at St. David's Center. As part of her responsibilities, she will be managing corporate and group volunteer opportunities starting June 1, and will be your main point of contact.
Clare stepped into this new role in December following a year as our grant writer. She has a master's in public policy with a focus on early childhood and child mental health. Her previous work experience includes organizations such as the Minnesota Department of Human Services, St. Paul Foundation and United Way. She currently lives in Golden Valley with her husband and toddler son.
"I am thrilled to be back in a community-based organization and further build corporate relationships," shares Clare. "And the occasional noisy parade of toddlers is also a plus."

Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon
So far this year, nearly 100 individuals and 14 corporate groups with dozens of team members have donated more than 2,000 hours of time assisting teachers in our classrooms, maintaining our building and grounds, serving on our Board of directors, advising on a committee and so much more.
In celebration of National Volunteer Appreciation Week and our 50th Anniversary, we want to acknowledge YOU for your role in enriching the lives of children and families.
Please join us Thursday, April 14 between 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. at St. David's Center. Lunch will be provided. Special remarks will take place at 12:30 p.m.

Upcoming Opportunities
Hold the Garlic Mustard
Believe it or not, spring is here. That means it's time to manage the growth in our School Forest.
Groups are needed to help pull garlic mustard, an invasive species, throughout the spring. If your organization is interested in a specific Earth Day project on Friday, April 22, two group spots are available - one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
