Cargill Interns
On July 2, 2009,
45 Cargill Interns painted the hallways of St. David's Center, weeded and mulched the Rain and Butterfly Gardens and prepared and sorted training manuals for our Human Resources department.

Thank you to Cargill for volunteering more than 200 hours this summer!

 Stuffed Animal Drive
St. David's Center's Early Childhood Education teachers are reading about emotionally responsive classrooms in Lesley Koplow's book, Bears Bears Everywhere and would like to start the new school year with bears (or other animals) to give to their students. In addition to nurturing the animals, the children, along with their teachers, use the stuffed animals to role play. Using the stuffed animals allows the children to safely express their own feelings. The teachers have found that the program works best if every child has the same animal.

Each classroom will need 24 identical stuffed animals (300 in total). Any donations would be welcome.
