Writers Needed Writers are advised to write what they know. Are you a writer that knows HGRM? There are always long and short items needed to spread the word about HGRM in print, online and for funding proposals. Let Jo-Ann know if you want to share your knowledge and writing skills.

Greetings!
Just as volunteers make HGRM work, donations of goods are necessary. We are grateful for the large infusion of items from Boston College students that they won't be taking with them as they leave campus. This includes dorm fridges, microwaves, lamps, other small appliances, bedding, and more. These items will help families who come to HGRM for several months, so it is worth the effort it takes for many volunteers to gather, pack and unpack these e. The 2nd Annual Boston College Pickup will be from May 12 - 23 and there are many volunteer openings waiting to be filled. Some are at BC and some are here at HGRM. Based on our experience last year, we have refined the schedule for a more efficient process - all while knowing that things may change here and there. Please check the listings below and let Jo-Ann know if you are available for any of the slots. Jo-Ann Jo-Ann Berry Volunteer Coordinator 978-635-1710 x6 Joann.Berry@HGRM.org If you volunteer at the HGRM facility, check out the volunteer schedule posted at the MOD desk. You can add or remove yourself from shifts there. Click here to choose the volunteer schedule list if you want to receive it by email monthly. Save the date: Tuesday June 5 for the Volunteer Picnic at NARA. Hope we'll see you there!

| Monday, May 21 ~ Tons of Stuff ~ ~Tons of Volunteers Needed!!
We need as many volunteers as possible to triage, record the items, pack the trucks, and thank the grads and parents for helping others to make a home. Any time you can volunteer between 1:00 and 7:00 PM, with peak hours 2:00 - 6:00, will be super. If you are driving, you'll need to arrive by 12 Noon to get parking on or near campus. If you are taking the T you can arrive later. You can drive and park at the Riverside or Waban stop on the D line and get off at the Chestnut Hill stop. The walk is about a mile from there to BC. Click here for map. Alternatively, you can take the D line to Kenmore and the B line back to BC, adding 45 - 60 minutes to the trip. Another option is to park at Alewife and take the Red Line to Park St and then the Green Line B train to BC. Contact Jo-Ann to volunteer for any of the slots and feel free to bring a friend or a group! Thank you!
